Women's Gymnastics Home Against Cal State Fullerton Friday

The Spartan women's gymnastics team returns to Spartan Gym this Friday night for a Western Athletic Conference meet against Cal State Fullerton beginning at 7 p.m. Live stats will be available on the front page of the Spartan web site.

San Jose State last performed at the Stanford quadrangular this past Sunday where the team scored a 192.850. Lily Swann led the team with a 38.925 in the all-around including a 9.775 on bars and floor. Thomasina Wallace and Tiffany Louie led the floor team which scored a season-best 48.825. Both ladies received a 9.800 for their routines.

The Titans scored their highest mark of the year this past Sunday with a 191.250 against Boise State in Titan Gym. The team was led by Shelly Cooper who finished second on the bars and Alaina Baker who was second on the floor. Cal State Fullerton will serve as the host of the 2010 WAC Championships on Saturday, March 27, beginning at 6 p.m.

San Jose State and Cal State Fullerton opened the season competing at UC Davis in early January. The Spartans won the meet with a 191.800, while the Titans had a 188.000.

Individual meet ticket prices are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for youth 12-and-under. Youth in their Club Gymnastics shirts or sweats will be $1.00. Seating is General Admission at Spartan Gym. All doors to the facility open 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to every home meet.

Spartan Gym is located in Yosh Uchida Hall, on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets on the San Jose State campus. Fans can park on campus in the Fourth Street Garage. A parking permit can be purchased in the garage for $5.00.
