The San Jose State women's gymnastics team heads back out on the road this week for a meet at Southern Utah this Friday, February 6, at 7 p.m. MST/6 p.m. PST.
The Spartans are competing in its third road meet in a stretch of four and the second in six days. The team travels to Sacramento State next Friday, February 13, to round out the four road meets.
In the team's last competition, San José State won the Texas Woman's Quadrangular with a 194.375. Freshman Katie Won recorded a season-best 39.000 in the all-around to win the event, while junior Maddie Herr tied for first on bars for the second consecutive meet with a season-best 9.850.
The two teams competed against each other last year in The Event Center, with the Thunderbirds winning 195.925-195.775.
San José State enters the week ranked 38th nationally with a 194.110 average, while Southern Utah is 22st with a 195.206 average. The Spartans are 36th in the vault, 38th in bars, 39th in beam and 35th on the floor. Kaitlin Won is 59th nationally in the all-around with a 38.831 average, and Cami Guyer is tied for 65th in the all-around with a 38.750 average.

SCHEDULE NOTE - Please note, the final home meet of the season has been moved to Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m., inside The Event Center. The meet was originally scheuduled for Friday, March 6.
