Gymnastics Heads To Sacramento State Friday Night

The San José State women’s gymnastics competes for the second time this week on Friday, January 13, as the team travels to Sacramento State for a 7 p.m. meet in The Nest.

The two teams competed Monday night as part of the five-team NorCal Classic in Berkeley. The Spartans finished the night with a 192.600, while the Hornets placed second with a 194.475 team score.

Two Spartans finished in the top-five at the NorCal Classic. Kaitlin Won tied for third on the floor at 9.825 and finished fourth in the all-around with a 38.600.  Rachel Heinl tied for fifth place on bars with a career-best 9.850.

For those able to attend the meet in Sacramento, adult tickets are $10, while Youth (3-17) and Seniors (65+) tickets are $5.
