Gymnasts Finish Season At NCAA Salt Lake City Regional

Taylor Chan finished tied for 6th on the floor and tied for 11th on the vault.

2018:  NCAA Salt Lake City Regional event qualifier on the bars…qualified for the regional with a 9.840 RQS…MPSF All-Around Champion after tying her career best with a 39.225 at the championship meet…first team All-MPSF on bars and all-around and second team on beam…finished tied for third on bars at MPSF Championships with 9.800…won two bars titles in home meets against Sacramento State and UC Davis…scored a 9.800 or better on bars in five meets…career-best 9.875 in first meet of season at NorCal Classic and in a home meet with Boise State and Iowa State…alternate qualifier for the regional in the all-around…39.030 RQS in the all-around…five meets scored a 39.000 or better…won the all-around in a meet at Utah State with Sacramento State and earned MSPF Gymnast of the Week honors for her win…on beam finished third at the MPSF Championships with a career-best 9.875…competed in the lead-off position for the beam team…season-best 9.775 on vault in two meets.

2017:  NCAA Seattle Regional all-around competitor…competed in the all-around in first eight meets before an injury limited her participation…qualified for the regional with a 38.865 RQS…first team All-MPSF on bars, beam, floor and all-around and second team on vault…39.000 or better in three meets including career-best 39.225 in a home meet with UC Davis…had 39.075 twice…finished tied for third on bars with a career-best 9.875 at the MPSF Championships…scored a 9.800 or better on bars in seven meets…won the bars title with a 9.875 at Air Force…season-best 9.800 on vault at NorCal Classic and a home meet with UC Davis…career-best 9.850 on beam to tie for seventh at the MPSF Championships…scored a 9.800 or better on floor in seven of eight meets…career-best 9.875 on floor at the UC Davis Quad where she tied for first place…also tied for first on the floor with a 9.800 at a home meet with UC Davis.

2016:  Competed in eight meets before an injury ended her season…vaulted in seven meets…season-best 9.725 in three meets…competed on bars in eight meets…received a 9.825 in a home meet with Boise State…added a 9.800 at Stanford with California…five meets on beam…season-best 9.800 at SJSU Quad meet…competed on floor in seven meets…season-best 9.800 at NorCal Classic…competed in the all-around in five meets…season-best 38.850 at Sacramento State…Academic All-MPSF honoree.

2015:  NCAA Berkeley Regional all-around competitor…competed in all 13 meets on the vault, bars and beam and 12 meets on floor and in the all-around…second team All-MPSF on bars, beam and in the all-around…qualified for regional with a 39.045 RQS…39.000 or better in the all-around in five meets…finished fourth at MPSF Championships with a season-best 39.175 in the all-around…at MPSF Championships, third on bars at 9.800 and sixth on floor at 9.825… MPSF Gymnast of the Week on January 20 for her performances against California and UW-La Crosse where she won the all-around with a 38.950...MPSF Newcomer of the Week on February 24 after finishing second in all-around with 38.850 against UC Davis...season-bests of 9.825 on vault and beam in final home meet on March 8...season-high 9.850 on bars at Masters Classic...season-best 9.850 on floor at Oregon State Quad.

CLUB:  Competed for the Arizona Dynamics…won the beam (9.650) and all-around (38.125) titles at the 2013 Region 1 Level 10 Championships…qualified for the 2013 Level 10 Junior Olympic National Championships…at the national meet, finished fourth on bars (9.525), 14th on floor (9.500) and 21st in all-around (36.925)…competed in the latter half of the 2014 schedule after an injury…finished fourth on beam and fifth on floor at the state championships.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated in 2014 from Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Ariz.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise and rehabilitation sciences…would like be a physical therapist after graduation…named to the 2016 and 2017 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar gymnastics second team…two-time NACGC/W Scholastic All-American…Academic All-MPSF recognition…enjoys reading and shopping in her free time…the oldest of four children…Kaitlin Marie Won was born in Chandler, Ariz.
