Women's Golf 13th At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

Tacoma, Wash.-Madeleine Ziegert led the Spartans Monday at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club as the San Jose State women's golf team shot a 313 in the first round of the tournament.

Ziegert led the Spartans with a 75 in her round that included birdies on the ninth and 12th holes.  Katrina Delen-Briones followed with a 77, making a birdie on the par-4, eighth hole.  Jennifer Brumbaugh shot an 80 in her round, while Tiffany Nichols had 81 and Dorothy Schwartz recorded an 82.

Round two action begins Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
