Women's Golf 13th After First Day of Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic

Fort Collins, Colo.-The start of the 2010-11 women's golf season finds San Jose State currently in 13th place after two rounds of the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo.

Jennifer Brumbaugh was the team's top golfer for the day after shooting a 74 in the first round and a 73 in round two.  She recorded three birdies in each round and is currently tied for 21st.

Katrina Delen-Briones finished five-over par after her two rounds of 75 and 74.  She started with three birdies in her first round.  After a rough first two holes on her second round, she proceeded to birdie her next three holes and finished with four birdies on her round.  Delen-Briones is tied for 33rd. 

After a 79 in her first round, Madeleine Ziegert played a strong second round with four birdies to shoot a 72 and finish with a 151.

Dorothy Schwartz made her collegiate debut for the Spartans and shot 76 and 77 over her two rounds with three birdies.  Jody Ho rounded out the scoring with 83-81-164.

San Jose State concludes play on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. MDT.
