Sunningdale, England-----Former San Jose State University women's golf star Juli Inkster finished in a tie for 14th place at the RICOH Women's British Open.
The three-time All-American posted a 72-hole total of 279 after a final-round 73 on the par 72, Sunningdale Old Course.
Inkster, who began the day tied for fourth place, had three birdies and four bogeys. Her 14th place finish was the best by the LPGA Hall of Fame member in the four major championships on the Tour this season.
J-Yai Shin of South Korea, second at the start of the final round, posted her second six-under par 66, for a 270 total and a three-stroke victory.
