Indianapolis, Ind.—The San Jose State women’s golf team will play at the NCAA West Regional, May 9-11, at the Stanford Golf Course. The Spartans received an at-large selection to the regional.
San Jose State is one of 24 teams playing at the West Regional. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Championship, May 21-24 at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga. The top two individuals, not on an advancing team, also advance to the championship.
Teams participating at the West Regional include Southern California, Arizona, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Stanford, Georgia, Baylor, Texas A&M, Pepperdine, LSU, Denver, South Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, UNLV, California, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), San Jose State, Harvard, Kent State, Northern Arizona, North Dakota State and Long Island.
“We are excited about the opportunity to continue our season at regionals,” said Spartan head coach John Dormann. “It is exciting and challenging to compete against the nation’s best team in postseason action.”
