Indianapolis, Ind.-----San Jose State University is one of 63 teams invited to play in the NCAA Women’s Golf Regional Championships. The Spartans will be one of 21 teams playing in the West Regional taking place at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club, May 8-10.
The 21 teams at the West Regional seek to finish among the top eight and advance to the NCAA Championships, May 20-23, in Albuquerque. San Jose State is seeded 13th. The top 12 seeded teams in the West Regional are Southern California, Arizona State, Arkansas, Arizona, Oklahoma State, California, Michigan State, Stanford, BYU, Tulsa, North Carolina and Ohio State.
Oklahoma, Oregon, UNLV, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Fresno State, Oral Roberts and Portland State complete the field.
During the season, San Jose State finished ahead of California, North Carolina and Tulsa in selected tournaments.
Teams will play 18 holes each day. The team's top four scores from its five players will count to the team total.
There is an admission charge to watch each day's play.
