San José State is one of 18 teams playing at the Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind., from May 7-9. The top-six teams advance to the NCAA Championship, May 22-27, at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida. The low three individuals, not on those advancing teams, will also go the championship.
The South Bend Regional includes Arizona, Duke, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, UC Davis, Pepperdine, Tulane, Notre Dame, Purdue, Kent State, Louisville, San José State, North Carolina, Kentucky, Harvard, Troy, Eastern Kentucky and Youngstown State.
"This year's Spartan team worked hard to get back to regionals," said Spartan head coach John Dormann. "This is a good reward of the effort we have put forth this year. This region is loaded with good teams, and we are excited to go somewhere new and different."
The Spartans will be the 12th seed at the regional. The team will play the first round with Kent State and Louisville and will begin the first round at 8 a.m. EDT/5 a.m. PDT on May 7.
