San Jose-The three-time defending Western Athletic Conference champion San Jose State women's golf team will look to keep the winning going at the WAC Championships, Monday-Wednesday, April 23-25, at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
The Spartans begin play on Monday at 8:20 a.m. PDT, as the team begins play with New Mexico State and Hawaii. Tee times on Tuesday and Wednesday begin at 7:30 a.m. PDT. Pairings for the second and third days will be determined by play.
San Jose State's lineup will be Madeleine Ziegert, Jennifer Brumbaugh, Kathleen Rojas, Megan Osland and Rachelle Reali.
The Spartans won the 2011 title by two shots over New Mexico State. Ziegert finished second, while Brumbaugh was third in the individual standings. San Jose State has won five WAC women's golf titles, tying for the second-most in WAC history, just two behind Tulsa who won seven.
"We are playing the best we have all year right now," said Spartan head coach John Dormann. "We need everyone to play consistently and get four good scores each day. We are excited for the opportunity to defend our titles. We know we have a bullseye on our back and have to go out on the course and earn it."
