San Jose, Calif.--In its inaugural year in the conference, the San José State University women's golf team competes for the Mountain West Championship this Thursday through Saturday, April 24-26, at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Nine teams compete in the 54-hole tournament on the par 72, 6,324-yard course over the three days.
The Spartans begin play Thursday at 7 a.m. PDT, alongside San Diego State and Colorado State. Tee times are set for every nine minutes, with the final Spartan beginning her round at 7:36 a.m. Pairings for the final two days will be determined by order of finish after each round.
"This is going to be a very competitive championship," said Spartan head coach John Dormann. "I expect this tournament to come down to the final nine holes on Saturday. We have played against all the teams this season and know how tough every team is."
