Women's Golf Begins Week At Silverado Showdown

The San Jose State women's golf team continues its spring schedule in the Bay Area at the Silverado Showdown this Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14.  The team will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.  Both days begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The Spartans are one of 15 teams to play at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa.  The teams will play the North Course at 6,253 yards and par 72.

The 15-team field includes California, Colorado (co-host), Colorado State, GRU Augusta, Harvard, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Minnesota, New Mexico, Northwestern, Oregon (co-host), Oregon State, Washington State, Wisconsin and San Jose State.

The Spartan lineup includes Megan Osland, My Leander, Regan De Guzman, Elizabeth Schultz and Fanny Johansson.  Last year, the team placed seventh with an 894.  De Guzman finished fourth at five-under, 211, and opened the tournament with a 67.

This is the final tune-up for San Jose State before playing at the 2015 Mountain West Championships, April 20-22, in Rancho Mirage, Calif.  The teams will be playing the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club.
