After notching the team's second second-place finish this spring, San Jose State University returns to action, April 4, competing in the 54-hole Ping/ASU Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course on the Arizona State University campus.
The 17-team field includes nine teams ranked in the top-20 by GolfStat. UCLA (#2), USC (#3), host Arizona State (#4), Georgia (#8), Arizona (#10), Denver (#12), Oklahoma State (#14), California (#16) and Pepperdine (#17) are in the top-20.
San Jose State (#37), New Mexico (#22), Stanford (#23), Vanderbilt (#24), Texas A&M (#26), Washington (#56), San Francisco (#57) and Oregon State (#58) complete the loaded field of top-notch entries.
The Spartans are in the midst of the busy section of the season playing three tournaments in a 16-day span. San Jose State was second at the recently-concluded MountainView Collegiate in Tucson on March 30 where six top-50 teams nationally competed for top honors.
The Ping/ASU field will play 18 holes each day on the course where the Spartans captured the 1992 NCAA Championship.
Live scoring will be available on www.golfstat.com.
