Women's Golf At Anuenue Spring Break Classic In Maui

The San José State women's golf team will spend Spring Break in Maui playing at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic at The Bay Course in Kapalua, Maui, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

All nine members of the team will participate in the tournament.  In the lineup will be Regan De Guzman, My Leander, Rachelle Reali, Kathleen Rojas and Megan OslandKim Cifuentes, Stephanie Gibri, Alexandra Kristofersson and Ann Sabater will play as individuals.

Fifteen teams will participate in the tournament - Cal Poly, Colorado, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, Seattle, UC Davis, UC Riverside, Washington and the Spartans.

The Kapalua Bay Course will be played at 6,022 yards and par 72.

All teams begin each day at 7:45 a.m. HST/10:45 a.m. PST with a shotgun start.  The Spartans begin the first round on holes 9, 10, 11 and 12, and play in foursomes with UC Davis, Fresno State and Cal Poly.

Last season, the Spartans finished tied for seventh with UC Davis at the tournament.  De Guzman finished ninth with a one-under 215.
