This weekend, the San Jose State women's golf team plays at the MountainView Collegiate March 15 and 16 at the MountainView Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.
San Jose State is one of 15 teams participating in the tournament - College of Charleston, Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, North Texas, Northern Arizona, Redlands CC, Texas State, Texas Tech, North Carolina Greensboro, Wichita State and Wyoming.
Regan De Guzman heads the Spartan team after being named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week two of the past three weeks. She finished second at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational last week.
Megan Osland is second in the lineup and finished in the top-10 at the Cal Classic and was also named a WAC Golfer of the Week.
Jennifer Brumbaugh comes to the Invitational as the reigning champion after winning last year on the first playoff hole. She shot a 67 in her second round that included an ace on the 13th hole. Brumbaugh finished the three rounds at 209.
Rounding at the lineup are Rachelle Reali and Kathleen Rojas. Rojas finished tied for seventh last year at one-under par 215.
San Jose State won the tournament title in 2009 at 866, and Erica Moston won the individual title that year with a 209.
Play starts on Friday, March 15, with a shotgun start at 7:30 p.m. PST. The teams will play two rounds on Friday followed by the final round on Saturday starting at 7:30 a.m. PST.
