Women's Golf Sixth At Peg Barnard Invitational

Stanford, Calif.-Three Spartan women's golfers finished in the top-20, and San Jose State shot a 307 Sunday to finish sixth at the Peg Barnard Invitational on the Stanford Golf Course.

Cristina Corpus led the trio that finished tied for 17th at 154. Corpus shot a 75 on Sunday, and Madeleine Ziegert and Shraddhanjali Singh each carded a 76. Katrina Delen-Briones finished 45th at 163 after shooting an 80, while Jody Ho was 47th after recording an 85. Kimberly Punyasavatsut, playing as an individual, finished 58th including an 86 in her final round.

San Jose State next plays at the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic, March 1 and 2. The team then hosts the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational on March 8 and 9 at the Almaden Country Club.
