Las Vegas, Nev.-- Three San José State women's golfers finished in the top-20, and the Spartans finished fifth at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas.

Megan Osland recorded her second top-20 finish of the fall schedule as she tied for 11th at one-over 217.  She shot a 73 in the final round and made four birdies during her round.

Regan De Guzman and My Leander tied for 15th at three-over 219.  De Guzman shot a one-under 71 in the third round and led the tournament with 43 pars.  She finished the tournament by making pars on her final 13 holes.  Leander had an even-par 72 on Tuesday and made three birdies during her round.

Elizabeth Schultz shot an even-par 72 in the final round and finished 49th at 225, while Kathleen Rojas shot a 77 and was 72nd at 230.

The Spartans shot even-par 288 in the final round to finish fifth at 877.  The team led the tournament in pars made with 185, but made just 29 birdies over the three rounds.

"Missed opportunities for birdies was the story of the week," said Spartan coach John Dormann.  "Sometimes it just goes that way.  We finished the fall schedule on a good note and know what we have to work on for the spring schedule."

The Spartans are finished with the fall portion of the 2014-15 schedule.  The team next competes at the Peg Barnard Intercollegiate, February 14 and 15, 2015, at the Stanford Golf Course.
