Women's Golf Finishes 15th At Rain-Shortened Stanford Intercollegiate

Oct. 16, 2016

Stanford, Calif.— The San Jose State women’s golf team finished 15th at the Stanford Intercollegiate this weekend after the final round was cancelled on Sunday because of rain.

The Spartans had started the day on the back nine, but play was halted around 10:30 a.m. due to standing water on several greens. The final round was then cancelled 30 minutes later.

“We are disappointed that the final round was called because we were excited about competing one more round. We are looking forward to competing next week in Las Vegas,” said Spartan head coach John Dormann.

The Spartans finish the fall schedule at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, October 23-25.
