Palm Desert, Calif.--Three San José State women's golfers are in the top-10 as the Spartans are atop the team and individual standings at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.

Megan Osland leads the field of 92 golfers with a one-over 145.  She shot a one-under 71 in the second round after recording a 74 in round one.  Osland had three birdies in each round and has a one-shot lead in the team standings.

Elizabeth Schultz, making her Spartan debut, and My Leander are tied for ninth place at eight-over 152.  Leander led after the first round with an even-par 72, but shot an 80 in the second round.  Schultz shot a 73 in the first round, followed by a 79 in round two.

Regan De Guzman is tied for 26th at 157 after shooting 82-75, while Kathleen Rojas is tied for 46th at 160, as she had 85-75.

The Spartans have a seven-shot lead over UC Riverside.  The team shot the low first round with a 301, and followed that up with a 300 in round two.

"It was very windy early in the day, then very nice for 18 holes and finally very windy for the last nine holes," said Spartan head coach John Dormann.  "Megan is playing great and hitting the ball very solid.  Everyone contributed a good score today.  We need four good scores tomorrow, and we have the players to do it."

Final round action begins with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.  The Spartans will play with UC Riverside, New Mexico State and Hawaii.
