SUMMER 2017 GOLF: Finished third at the State Fair Women’s Championship with a 137 (66-71).
CSUN: Member of the Matador team for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons…2017 Big West Academic All-Conference honoree.
2016-17: Played in 10 tournaments for the Matadors…had a 76.4 stroke average… four top-10 finishes and one other top-20 finish…best round was a 69 to place second at the Sacramento State Invitational…finished 10th at the Big West Championship…shot 72-73 to start the tournament…tied for second at the SCU Colby Invitational.
2015-16: Played in 10 tournaments and 25 rounds…77.9 stroke average…three top-10 finishes…best round was a 71 at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate…finished fourth at the Lady Mustang Intercollegiate where she shot a 72 in the first round.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Troy High School (Fullerton, Calif.) in 2015…lettered in golf and cheer during her four years…named 2014 OC Register Girls Golfer of the Year…won 2014 Southern Section Southern Individual Regional title with a 66…tied for eighth at the 2014 CIF State Championship…first girl from Troy to win an individual regional title and qualify for the state championship…
PERSONAL: Majoring in forensic science with a minor in chemistry…would like to go to medical school and have a career in the medical profession…young brother, Patrick, is a member of the Chaminade University men’s golf team…Ysabel Tran was born in Anaheim, Calif.
