Ground Broken on Spartan Golf Complex

Donors Rich and Cindy Thawley, San José State alums, gave a $5 million lead gift commitment.

Third season at San Jose State.

2017-18: Played at the Meadow Club Women’s Collegiate as an individual…posted an 87-90-177 for the tournament.

2016-17:  Played in three tournaments as an individual…best round was a 78 in the first round of the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational…also had her best finish at the same tournament as she was 57th.

2015-16:  Did not see action for the Spartans.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered in golf and swimming at Miramonte High School in Orinda, Calif…two-time first team All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League selection…2013 team won the North Coast Section Division II championship.

JUNIOR GOLF:  Participated in the 2014 Junior Tour of Northern California series…won the Summer Series IV Girls First Flight Championship by seven strokes after shooting 73-74-147…finished second at the Summer Series II…won the 2013 Danville Junior Open.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in business management…enjoys skiing and paddle boarding…San José State Dean’s Scholar…Arielle Elizabeth Caronna was born in Berkeley, Calif.
