SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State men’s cross-country team inked a distance runner to a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Spartans next season.
“Jose has a smooth effortless stride and a strong desire to be great,” said cross country coach Brad Wick.
Jose Pina, a San Jose native from Lincoln High School, most recently took second at the CIF-CCS Cross Country Finals over the past weekend. Pina has personal bests of 4:19 in the 1600m and 9:26 in the 3200m.
“He will bring some much needed depth to our men’s squad,” Wick added. “Jose has a smooth effortless stride and a strong desire to be great."
