The event San José State has been training for all season is here; the Mountain West (MW) Championship on Friday, November 1, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The championship will begin at 10 a.m. MST with the men’s 8K race followed by the women’s 6K event at 10:45 a.m.

“Heading in, we are focused on sticking to our game plan,” said distance coach Brad Wick. “We are going to give 100 percent effort. Never settling during the race and fighting for every spot will be our objective.”

Three nationally-ranked top-25 men’s teams (New Mexico, No. 9 -- Boise State, No. 20 -- Colorado State, No. 22) and the #25-ranked Boise State women’s team highlight this year’s field. The New Mexico Lobos have swept the previous four MW championships in a row.

Both races of the MW Championship will be available live and for free via the MW Network:!/watch-live
