Cross Country To Race In Bronco Invitational

San Jose State men and women's cross country will compete in the Bronco Invitational on Saturday October 16 in nearby Santa Clara, Calif.

The race held at Baylands Park is hosted by Santa Clara University.

The women's races will begin first at 9 a.m. with the open competition, followed by the women's invitational race at 9:45 a.m. The men's open race will start at 10:30, preceding the invitational race which starts at 11:15 a.m.

The field of 31 schools participating in Saturday's events is the largest in Santa Clara's hosting history according to their website. 12 of the 31 are division ones schools, and four Western Athletic Conference foes will be among the field as well: Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii and Nevada.

"This is a great race for us to be in since it's right in our own backyard and the competition will be near its highest," said Spartans head coach Augie Argabright.
