Men's Cross Country Third at SF State Invitational

San FranciscoThe San Jose State men’s cross country team finished third at the San Francisco State Invitational Friday afternoon. 

David Haefele was the Spartans’ top finisher.  He ran the race in 26:21, good for 12th place.  Sean Dundon finished 20th at 26:48, while Alan Shelton was 26th at 26:58.  Alex Esparza finished in 27:59 for 49th place.

David Blausey ran the course in 28:14 for 54th place, while Tony Cantu finished in 28:32 for 60th place.  Gordie Throne finished 64th in a time of 29:05.

The Spartans were third in a field of eight teams.  Academy of Arts won the meet, followed by Chico State. 

San Jose State next runs in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Saturday, October 18.
