Cross Country Heads To Gator Invitational

Following a week off, the San Jose State University cross country teams begin the second half of their season at the San Francisco State Gator Invitational, Friday, October 10. Races begin at 4:00 p.m. in historic Golden Gate Park.

The men will run in a 8k race starting at 4:00 and the women’s 6k race begins at 4:45 p.m. The race course covers the Speedway Meadow section of Golden Gate Park closest to 25th Avenue and Fulton Street.

The Spartans last competed in the Stanford Invitational on September 27. The women finished 21st out of 33 teams and the men were 21st out of 28 teams.

San Jose State hopes to at least duplicate its finishes the last time the Spartans competed in the Gator Invitational. Both the men’s and the women’s teams finished fourth in their 2006 races.

There is no charge to watch the meet.
