The San Jose State men's and women's cross country teams continue their seasons at the Stanford Invitational on September 29.

Chico State, Cal State Fullerton, CSU Stanislaus, CSU Monterey Bay, Cal State East Bay, Fresno State and Sacramento State make up the contingency of California State Universities in the field.
The men's 8,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 9:50 a.m. PST
"We have the guys training hard at practice," said Spartans' head coach Ron Davis. "We work hard to compete well in races like this one."
There are 37 teams in the field for the college women's race beginning at 10:30 a.m. PST. The 6,000-meter race features two teams ranked in the top-25 nationally: #6-Stanford and #18-Saint Mary's College.
"This is a race where we look for someone to step up," Davis said. "We had a good week of practice and now it's time to see it in the race."
The Stanford Invitational marks the halfway point in the season for San Jose State cross country. After the Stanford Invite the team has two regular season races for the Western Athletic Conference Championship on October 27.
