Men's Cross Country finishes 20th at West Regionals

STANFORD, Calif.-----The San Jose State University men’s cross country team finished its season on Saturday, Nov. 16th at the Stanford Golf Course. The men placed 20th out of 23 teams.

The Spartans had a total team score of 560 to place 20th in the 10,000 meter race. Stanford won the race with 21 points, followed by Oregon with 43 and Cal Poly with 115.

Senior Matt Heard placed 47th with a time of 32:19 to lead the Spartans. Junior Jesse McLeod finished 94th with a time of 33:24 and sophomore Angel Hernandez placed 133rd.

"Matt Heard ran an outstanding race," commented head coach Augie Argabright. "This was his last race and his best race. He did very well to compete against all of those PAC-10 schools."
