Frank Sanfilippo named to NSCAA All-Far West men's soccer second team

Corvallis, Ore. – San Jose State University senior midfielder Frank Sanfilippo was named to the 2003 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Far West Region second team in a vote by member coaches.

Sanfilippo, a two-time, first-team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation choice, was team captain of the Spartan side that won a conference championship and played in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

A total of 11 players were selected for each team; four defenders, three midfielders, three forwards and a goalkeeper make up the first team, with three defenders, four midfielders, three forwards and a goalkeeper on the second team.

Only those selected to the all-region first team are eligible for NSCAA All-America status.
