Men's Soccer To Play at California in NCAA First Round

The San Jose State men’s soccer team will play at California, Friday, November 21, in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament. Game time is 1:30 p.m. (PST). The winner of the match will play at 11th-seeded UC Santa Barbara next Wednesday, November 26.

San Jose State and California faced each other on Sunday, November 9, with the Golden Bears winning the match, 2-1, in overtime. Randy Poggio scored the lone Spartan goal in the match.

The Spartans enter the NCAA tournament for the 14th time in school history. San Jose State earned the automatic bid from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation to reach the 2003 tournament.
