SAN JOSE - A 2-0 victory over Fresno State Sunday at Spartan Stadium gave the San Jose State University men's soccer team its first undefeated home season in Gary St. Clair's 11 years as head coach.

Ryan Suarez and Jorge Martinez each scored a goal as the Spartans, ranked number one in the NSCAA coaches poll, improved to 14-0-1 overall, 6-0-0 in the Mountain Division of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Suarez put the Spartans up 1-0 10:33 into the first half. Martinez recorded his team-high 13th goal of the season at the 17:53 mark, on an assist from Gareth Williams. Williams has three assists.

Spartan goalkeeper Chris Humphreys recorded his 11th combined shutout of the season, extending his own single-season record. It was also his 15th career combined shutout, tying him for second with Sean Keohane, who had 15 combined shutouts during the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
