Woodside, Calif. - San Jose State junior forward Steven Sanchez has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Soccer Player of the Week for October 10-16.
Sanchez took four shots, placed three on goal and scored twice, both game winners in two matches over the weekend.
In a 1-1 tie at No. 19 CSU Bakersfield on Sunday, Sanchez found the back of the net at the 46:13 mark. His goal turned out to be the game winner and handed the previously unbeaten Roadrunners their first loss of the year.
