San Jose, Calif. - The San José State men's soccer team hosts the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners and UNLV Rebels this week in Spartan Stadium as they continue play in the Western Athletic Conference.

Tickets for all San José State men's soccer home games are free for all SJSU students, faculty and staff with a valid ID.  Adult tickets are $5.00, $2.00 for youth (12 and under) and any child wearing a jersey gets in for free.

Groups of 20 or more can buy discounted tickets at $3.00 per person.  The ticket office opens one hour prior to kick-off at Spartan Stadium or can be purchased by calling San José State Athletics Ticket Office at 408-924-SJTX (7589).

The Roadrunners, selected by a vote of the conference's coaches to finish at the top of the WAC table, enter the week with a 2-6-1 record, 0-1-0 in conference action. Last week they opened the WAC portion of the schedule with a 0-2 loss at UNLV. 

The last meeting between the schools was on October 12, 2012.  The Spartans earned a 1-0 decision in Spartan Stadium.  With five seconds left in regulation, then senior midfielder, Diego Ochoa took a corner kick and bent it just inside the far post to propel the San José State to a 1-0 win.

The Roadrunners'  leading scorer is Eduardo Calzada (4 goals, 8 pts.).  David Velasquez has two goals and an assists for five points.  

Anthony Perez has played 740 minutes in eight games and has a 2-5-1 record.  His GAA is 2.19 and save % is .667. 

Head Coach Simon Tobin is in his 27th season leading the CSU Bakersfield program.  He brought a 296-180-52 career record into this season.

The Rebels share the top of the WAC's West Division table with Seattle U.  They enter the week with a 3-6-0 record, 1-0-0 in conference action after defeating CSU Bakersfield 2-0 last Sunday.  UNLV plays at Seattle U on Friday ahead of their match with the Spartans on Sunday.

The last meeting between the schools was October 14, 2012.  The Spartans built a 2-0 lead in the first 45 minutes, but in the second half the Rebels put three in the back of the net for a 3-2 result.

UNLV's leading scorer is Rodrigo Fuentes (4 goals, 3 asst., 11 pts.).  Along with Fuentes, Salvador Bernal and Julian Portugal  each have three assists to lead the side.  

Ryan Harding and Joe Vitale have split time in goal.  Harding has the better stats with a 1.24 GAA and .773 save % to Vitale's 2.20 and .560. 

Head Coach Rich Ryerson is in his fourth season leading the UNLV program.  He brought a 15-39-3 career record into this season.
