7 Thomas Gibson

SJSU: In his fourth season at San Jose State. Thomas Gibson played in 15 matches last season. He scored two goals in the season opener against CS San Bernardino. Gibson played in 14 matches in 1999. He scored one goal, against CS Sacramento on Sept. 8, 1999. Gibson was a redshirt in 1998.

HIGH SCHOOL: Gibson was a four-year letterman in soccer at Dimond High School in Anchorage, Alaska. A four-time all-conference pick, he was the 1997 Gatorade “Player of the Year” for the state of Alaska and was twice named the team’s “Most Valuable Player.” He also lettered four years in track and field.

PERSONAL: Thomas Jason Gibson was born on Aug. 27, 1979, in Juneau, Alaska. His mother is Molly Welsh. He has three sisters, Tammy (23), Robyn (19) and Courtney (16). He is majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry and is an SJSU Scholar-Athlete. His favorite activities inlcude listening to music and hanging out with friends. His club team, the Alaska Goldstrikers, won the state championship four straight years.
