5 Alvaro Calderon

SJSU: In his fourth season at San Jose State. Alvaro Calderon played in 10 games and started once in 2000. He recorded two shots. Calderon started and played in 18 games in 1999. He had one assist against Fresno State on Oct. 24, 1999. He appeared in three games in 1998 and was not credited with any offensive statistics.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Calderon was a four-time all-league performer at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, Calif. His team also won a section title.

PERSONAL: Alvaro Calderon was born on Dec. 26, 1978, in Guadalajara, Mexico. His parents are Roberto and Rosalba Calderon. He has two brothers, Jose (24) and Marco (23). He is majoring in Spanish and sociology and is an SJSU Scholar-Athlete. His favorite activities are traveling, camping and going to the beach.
