No. 16 Bruin men's soccer team defeats SJSU 1-0

SAN JOSE - Senior forward Shea Travis scored in the 47th minute of the match to lead the 16th-ranked UCLA men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over #22 San Jose State.

Travis, who entered the match in the 26th minute, scored a header at 47:43 after McKinley Tennyson headed a ball off the crossbar. Travis then headed the rebound into an empty net.

San Jose State had 10 shots including four on goal. The Spartans' Cesar Gutierrez had a chance to score for SJSU at the end of the game, but Bruin Nick Rimando took in the shot for his fourth save of the match. UCLA outshot SJSU 14-12.

San Jose State now falls to 3-2-1 on the season and will travel to Washington next weekend for the Husky Tournament. SJSU will play Portland and Washington.
