Cukar Named MPSF Player of the Week

Woodland, Calif. - Sophomore Nick Cukar was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federations’ Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 4, as announced by the conference office on Monday Sept. 10. Cukar earned the honor for his stellar play at the Davidson adidas Classic last weekend.

Cukar scored two unassisted goals for the Spartans at the Classic. He scored the game-winning goal in the Spartans’ first match of the season, a 2-1 win over Charlotte.

His second goal of the year came against Davidson on Sunday, Sept. 2. Cukar gave the Spartans the early 1-0 lead with a goal on a mishandled corner kick in the 30th minute of play.

For his efforts, Cukar was also named to the Davidson adidas Classic All-Tournament team.
