San Jose, Calif.---The Spartan men's soccer team is set to take on the Gaels of Saint Mary's College September 7 at Spartan Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. The Spartans are coming off a double-overtime 0-0 tie to Stanford on September 1 when freshman goalkeeper Richard Mann recorded his first collegiate shutout, blanking the Cardinal for the entire 110 minutes.

San Jose State is looking to continue that momentum against the Gaels (2-0), who were 5-10-5 in 2004. Saint Mary's freshman forward Michael Clegg was named to the College Soccer News "Team of the Week" and West Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week. Clegg scored four goals last week, including three against Spartan conference opponent Sacramento State.
