San Jose, Calif.----Stephen Wondolowski assisted on both UC Santa Cruz second-half goals as the Banana Slugs tied San Jose State University, 2-2, in an exhibition men’s soccer game.

"This is what exhibitions are for. That being said, there is nobody on this team that I can be happy with. The desire and technical skill were not there (today)," said San Jose State coach Gary St. Clair. "This does not look like the championship team we had a year ago.

"I'm frustrated to see a performance like this. We need to develop a 'hunger' on this team."

San Jose State opens regular season action, Wednesday, September 1, when it hosts Notre Dame De Namur University in a 5:00 p.m. game on the Spartan Soccer Field.
