SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The San José State University men’s soccer team travels to Saint Mary’s on Sunday, August 21, for an exhibition match beginning at 1:00 p.m. PT. It will be the lone exhibition game for the Spartans before they begin regular-season action on the road against UC Davis on August 26.

Two weeks into preseason practice, Spartans head coach Simon Tobin assessed the current state of his team.

“Preseason’s gone well. We’ve got a few knocks and injuries. We probably won’t be full strength for Sunday’s game, but it gives us a chance for some of the young players to get some time,” said Tobin.

“Couple of positions are still up for grabs. Couple of players might play some different positions. It really does give you a good chance in a proper environment to see how they respond.”

Admission is free for the Saint Mary’s game as fans can also follow along with live stats.
