Jacobs Signs With Men's Soccer Team

SAN JOSE, CA. (March 22) -- Brent Jacobs, a senior at Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks, Calif., has signed a letter of intent with the San Jose State University men's soccer team.

Jacobs' signing was announced today by SJSU head coach Gary St. Clair.

Jacobs, a goalkeeper, was a four-year letterman in soccer at Del Campo HS. He was named to the all-league first team his senior season. As a junior, he did not allow a goal and recorded 34 saves (his senior statistics are not available). Jacobs also lettered one year in golf.

St. Clair also announced that Michael Patrick has been recruited as a walk-on. Patrick, who is from Merced, Calif., was a two-team Most Valuable Player and a first-team all-conference selection at Merced High School. He also attended Merced Junior College, but did not compete in any sports.
