San Jose, Calif.--- Spartan head coach Gary St. Clair has announced the men's soccer spring schedule for 2011. The schedule includes six matches in March and April, five of which will be played at Spartan Stadium.
Admission is free to attend all matches.
The Spartans will open on March 11 and will host Saint Mary's at 7:00 p.m. The Gaels are coming off a 10-8-1 (6-6 WCC) season, while San Jose State finished 7-9-3 (1-6-3 MPSF).
Returning to action on March 17 and April 8, the Spartans will host the Cal Bears and the San Francisco Dons.
San Jose State will then go on the road for a match with the Stanford Cardinal on April 15 at Cagan Stadium, before returning home to play SJSU Alumni and Santa Clara on April 16 and 22, respectively.
The Alumni Game/Day will be the first of its kind since 1991 and will take place at Spartan Stadium. For more information about the Alumni Game and the festivities that will take place, click here.
St. Clair will have a chance to see how his team fares against a competitive Bay Area selection of men's soccer teams. Last season the Spartans topped the Dons, 2-1, and were edged, 2-1, at Santa Clara in two regular season matchups.
