Men's Golf Closes Out Fall At Pacific Invitational

            Looking for a strong finish to the 2009 Fall men's golf season, San Jose State University is one of 12 teams battling for the University of the Pacific Invitational men's golf tournament.

            The Spartans are coming off a 15th place finish at the rain-shortened Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Corte Madera, Calif.

            Getting ready for the fourth tournament of the fall, San Jose State will play at the par 72 Brookside Country Club course in Stockton, Calif.

            Head coach John Kennaday has a lineup consisting of  Mark Hubbard, Jay Myers, Stephan Stwallworth, Rosco Valentine and Nick Brown.

            Oregon (#22) is the top-ranked team in the field. Fresno State (#37), UC Davis (#73), Kansas State (#75), Brigham Young (#77) and Saint Mary's (#93) top the field.

            Denver (#110), host Pacific (#124), Sacramento State (#140) and San Jose State (#165) are in the field. Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge are unranked among the top-250 colleges and universities.
