Hubbard Qualifies For This Week's Open

Oct. 9, 2013

San Jose, Calif. – Former San José State men’s golfer Mark Hubbard shot a five-under par 67 on the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. on Monday to qualify for this week’s PGA TOUR Open (Oct. 9-13).  The Open is the first official event of the 2013-14 PGA TOUR schedule.

Hubbard will tee it up with some of the best golfers on earth on the 7,379 yard, par 71 CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif., which has been the Tournament’s home since 2010.

After a PGA TOUR Canada win at The Wildfire Invitational in early September and a third-place finish on that Tour’s Order of Merit, Hubbard will compete on the Tour in 2013-14.

The Open is a sponsor of San José State men’s golf.  Fans who want to see Hubbard compete in person can purchase tickets for the Open at
