Bloomington, Ill. -- After clinching its third consecutive victory of the season, San Jose State University men's golf is ranked 25th in this week's national GolfStat ranking for the 2011-12 season.
The Spartans have played in three tournaments this season, and have won them all: The Palouse Collegiate, Dash Thomas Memorial and most recently the Wolf Pack Classic. San Jose State is the only team in the country that has won three times this year.
As a team they average 71.90 strokes per round and have finished under par in five out of nine rounds played.
They are also ranked second in par-five scoring at 4.54, and are among the top-ten in final round average, eagles and sand saves.
San Jose State remains the highest ranked team in the Western Athletic Conference.
The Spartans get back to action in their fourth tournament of the fall season on October 17-18 at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif.
