Aug. 21, 2014

A big weekend of golf lies ahead of San José State alum Mark Hubbard as he tees it up in the Tour regular season finale with a PGA Tour card at stake.

The top-25 on the tour's money list at week's end will automatically earn a PGA Tour card, and Hubbard enters the tournament in 20th place.

The 2012 SJSU graduate begins his opening round at the WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft at 1:05 p.m. PDT. The Golf Channel will show taped coverage of the tournament starting at 3:30 p.m. PDT.

Fans can also follow the action with live scoring updates on the Tour's Leader Board page.

In his first season on the Tour, Hubbard has missed only four cuts in 19 events and has six top-10 finishes. His best result was a runner up finish at the United Leasing Championship at the end of June.

Hubbard would become the first SJSU men's golfer to earn PGA Tour status since Arron Oberholser.
