Cody Blick Named To PING All-Region Team

Norman, Okla. – San José State men’s golfer Cody Blick has been honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) with selection to its Division I PING All-Region Team.  Blick is one of 157 student-athletes in the nation to earn the distinction and one of 27 in the West Region to be recognized for their outstanding play in 2014.

Blick, a sophomore from Danville, Calif., won two tournaments this year, his first two as a collegiate, and was named a first-team All-Mountain West performer.  His 70.76 stroke average was tops on the team, lowest the conference and the best in    He is ranked 16th in the nation according to Golfstat’s most recent rankings.  In 10 starts this year, he has six top-10 finishes and four times he has finished in the top-4.

Blick competed in the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional Championship earlier this month and finished in a tie for 39th place.  It was his second time, in as many years, Blick has been invited to participate in the Championship.
