Stallworth & Camitoc In PGA Minority Championship

Port St. Lucie, Fla.-----Stephan Stallworth and Miguel Camitoc are two of 42 individual players who will participate in the 22nd annual PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship, May 9-11, at the PGA Golf Club.

Stallworth and Camitoc recently completed their season for San Jose State University at the Western Athletic Conference Championship. Stallworth, an African-American, tied for sixth. Camitoc, a freshman who has played in the Philippines, was 42nd.

The two Spartans are playing in one of the five college tournaments taking place on the three par 72 courses in the PGA Village that weekend. Also, there are a women’s individual tournament for nine players and men’s team competitions for Division I and II and independent institutions.

Besides the competition, all student-athletes can participate in a Career Fair hosted by the tournament's corporate sponsors with the purpose of creating contacts for future internships and full-time positions in the golf industry.
