San Jose State University returns to men’s golf action, April 7 & 8, in its first trip to the state of Missouri playing in the UMB Bank-Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate Classic.
The 54-hole tournament includes top-25 teams Indiana (#24) and Wichita State (#25) and takes place on the par 72, Club at Old Hawthorne course in Columbia, Missouri.
Arkansas (#42), Iowa State (#83), Kansas State (#72), Michigan (#38), Michigan State (#30), host Missouri (#115), Washington (#62) and Xavier (#124) join San Jose State (#126) in the 11-team field that covers all four U.S. continental time zones.
Head coach John Kennaday changed his lineup for the tournament. Drew Nottenkamper replaces Miguel Camitoc and joins Stephan Stallworth, Rosco Valentine, Peter Gibbs and Mark Hubbard as the Spartans’ five-man team. Stallworth leads the team in stroke average at 73.46. Gibbs is next at 73.54.
Most recently, San Jose State hosted the 62nd annual Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz and finished 12th in a 16-team field.
Players will complete 36 holes on April 7 and the final 18 holes on April 8.
